She will be offering a free Introduction to Massage Therapy Workshop on Saturday, June 28, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Plans are being considered for LRCC to incorporate a Massage Therapy Associate Degree Program in the future.
“The muscles hold the tears the eyes refuse to shed,” says Certified Massage Therapist, Nancy Ferguson (Laconia), who is offering a free Introduction to Massage Therapy Workshop at Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) on June 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. “Massage promotes relaxation and stress relief for people of all ages.”
Ferguson will incorporate hands-on and video presentations into her 3-hour LRCC Workshop covering such topics as Swedish, Stone, Neuromuscular, and Thai Massage, along with other massage techniques and practices. “My preferred method is a soothing blend of Swedish Massage and Transitional Bodywork,” Ferguson continues. “Transitional Bodywork is almost like a dance as one administers long, smooth strokes.”
A licensed Massage Therapist for eight years and owner and operator of Whole Body- Whole Mind, Laconia, Ferguson knows the profession well. “Massage is the most rewarding profession that anyone could have. One works with doctors, occupational and physical therapists, in hospitals, sports arenas, pain clinics, and private practice.” Ferguson will also be discussing many aspects of business ownership.
