Together with students’ family and friends, Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) faculty, administrators, and special guests recognized the academic accomplishments of the Business Administration Training Program students on Friday.
Eleven students were honored for their achievements, completing the intensive 4-course, 12-credit training program in 11 weeks, four weeks less than the traditional 15-week semester. Students completing the Program were Jennifer Pike (Laconia), Abigail Chamberlain (Laconia), Desra Edmonds (Laconia), Audrey Amaro (Laconia), Doris Jackson (Laconia), Amy Vasquez (Laconia), Laura Camblor (Laconia), Jennifer Barter (Plymouth), Stacey Jenna (Franklin), Suzanne Bastien (Alexandria), and Sarah Bostwick (Belmont).
Commencement featured speaker, Stefany Shaheen (Concord), Vice Chair of the NH Commission on the Status of Women, spoke with conviction about the value of education to the futures of families. Shaheen congratulated the students for what their education will enable them to accomplish for their children, their parents, and themselves.
“You have shown your determination and commitment to your education and have a great deal to be proud of,” says LRCC Vice President of Student and Corporate Affairs, Jim Vander Hooven (Laconia). "Through your tremendous efforts, you have completed in just 11 weeks what other students would take 15 weeks to complete. I congratulate you.”
